Usask Graduate Students Scholarships Benefits

Scholarships are given to worthy students during their enrollment or while they are studying. The University of Saskatchewan provides the following scholarships and rewards to admitted students:

  • Master’s ($18,000 for up to two years) and Doctoral ($22,000 for up to three years) Dean’s scholarships are available.
  • Teacher-Scholar Doctoral Fellowships: up to $21,000 for one year of training in university teaching and delivery of an undergraduate course under the supervision of a faculty mentor.
  • Graduate Scholarships at the University of Saskatchewan (UGS): $20,000 per year for up to three years;
  • Graduate Teaching Fellowships at the University of Saskatchewan: Students get $12,000 from September to April and $4,000 from May to August.
  • For the months of September to April, you must work 12 hours per week.
  • Graduate Teaching Assistantships at the University of Saskatchewan: $20.04 per hour; Graduate Research Assistantships at the University of Saskatchewan: $20.04 per hour.
  • University of Saskatchewan International Excellence Awards: $10,000; Graduate Service Fellowships: $5,400 for a four-month period;
  • Department funding: Many students receive research grants from their department or supervisor.
  • Tri-Agency: All graduate students who have been given a Tri-Agency scholarship will receive a $6,000 annual top-up scholarship for each year they hold the Tri-Agency award, and so on.
