Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships 2024/2025 for International Students

This scholarship covers the entire cost of tuition, obligatory fees, and room & board. An extra $3000 is awarded each year for study abroad, summer internship fees, short-term courses, or research funding.

The scholarship is granted for four years of full-time undergraduate education and replaces any previously given merit scholarship. Students who match the following qualifications are frequently interested in the Simmons Honors Program. To apply, go to the Honors program page.

Scholarship Coverage

Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships provide the following incentives to the recipient:

• A $3,000 scholarship is offered each year for study abroad, short-term courses, summer internship expenses, and research support.
• Full tuition, required fees, and room & board are all covered by the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships

Students applying for the Kotzen Scholarships at Simmons University must complete the following requirements:

• English is the required language.
• All countries in the world are eligible.
• Standardized exam scores of 28 (ACT), 1300 (new SAT), or 1250 (old SAT – CR+M). A minimum of 600 on each SAT section is strongly advised.
• Apply for the autumn semester as a freshman.
• TOEFL and SAT or ACT scores are required for non-native English speakers.
• GPA of 3.3 or above, unweighted, college-prepared curriculum that includes an upper-level math course during or prior to your senior year of high school
• Honors, advanced placement (AP), and international baccalaureate (IB) courses taken in respective high school systems

How Do I Apply for Kotzen Scholarships at Simmons University?

To apply for the Simmons University Kotzen Scholarships, please complete the following steps:

• By December 1, applicants must have completed and submitted both their scholarship application and their admission application to the College.
• The application is divided into two parts. A brief response and a formal essay. Students should send their essays to ugadm@simmons.edu with the subject line “Kotzen Application” by December 1. Students should include their full name and date of birth on each page of the document.
  • Short Answer (maximum of 250 words): How would you spend your extra $3000 per year (for study abroad, short-term courses, summer internship tuition, and/or research support)?
  • Formal Essay (maximum 500 words): How can a woman most effectively lead change in today’s world?
• Finalists accepted for scholarship consideration will be expected to participate in an on-campus interview in February. If you are an overseas applicant who is unable to go to campus, you may be interviewed by Skype instead.
