Tony Akuneme of the Nigeria Immigration Service announced on Monday that the test is for all those who filed for recruitment in 2023.

It went on to advise all applicants to visit the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board’s (CDCFIB) portal at cdcfib.career or check their emails and phones for messages to see if they have been shortlisted and to print their invitation letter for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).

The organization also emphasized that the recruitment procedure is completely free.

Update on the application

The agency announced the hiring process in January. Among the posts declared vacant are:

“Category A: Superintendent Cadre: Superintendent of Immigration (SI) compass 11 professional (Doctors): Applicants must possess first degree in MBBS from a recognized institution of higher learning and NYSC discharge/exemption certificate,” the article states.

“Conpass 10 professional (pharmacists): Deputy Superintendent of Immigration (DSI): Applicants must hold a first-year pharmacy degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, as well as an NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.

“Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II (ASI) CONPASS 08: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.”

Category B: Inspectorate Cadre: Immigration Assistant Inspector (All)” General Responsibilities CONPASS 06; Applicants must have a National Diploma (ND), NCE, or Advance NABTEB from a recognized institution.

Category C: Immigration Assistant (IA I11); Assistant Cadre: Immigration Assistant (IA I11)” CONPASS No. 03 Applicants must have a GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, GCE, or its equivalent with a minimum of 4 credits in no more than two (2) sittings, including English and Mathematics.

“Immigration Assistant III (IA III CONPASS 03 Artisans: a) motor driver b) Mechanic: Applicants must be holders of ordinary level SSCE or its equivalents and appropriate trade test certificate.
