Applicants must be of Nigerian ancestry and have a national identity number (NIN), with computer literacy being an advantage for all cadres.

Also, applicants must also produce all certifications at the time of recruitment, since any extra qualifications presented afterward will not be recognized for advancement in the agency.

Applicants must be medically fit and provide a medical fitness certificate from a government hospital.

Candidates applying for the position of “superintendent cadre” must be at least 20 years old and no older than 35 years old, but the age limit for “narcotic agent cadre” and “narcotic assistant cadre” is 30 years old and no less than 18 years old at the time of application.

Persons over the age of 40 who apply for the positions of “medical doctors” and “articulated vehicle drivers” will be considered.

Medical and allied professionals must have current licenses to practice, whereas lawyers must have been called to the bar.

Applicants must be drug-free, of good character, and have never been convicted of a criminal offense.

When submitting their applications online, applicants must provide their own email addresses and phone numbers.
